Bansko Expects 800,000 Tourists

This winter, Bansko expects more than 800,000 guests, sources from the resort's Mayor's Office informed. The hotels and appartments for rent provide accomodation for some 15,000 people. When the hotels that are now under construction open doors, Bansko will offer lodgings to 30,000 holidaymakers.
The investments have exceeded one billion euro. Ten new four-star hotels will open doors soon.
We expect many guests and can guarantee that there will be no water and electricity-supply problems. The funds allotted for infrastructure improvements in 2008 amount to 25 million levs. Despite the construction boom, the interest to Bansko is still growing, sources of the Town's Hall explained.
The land is sold at 200 euro per square meter and the price of residential buildings has reached 1200 euro per sqm.
