Burton Amateur Tour Bansko – the professional competition for amateurs

On the 16 of January 2008 Burton gives a chance to any snowboard amateur to be a real professional in Burton Amateur Tour in Bansko. The famous Bulgarian mountain resorts hosts the event for the third time.

The competition takes place in the Fun Park at Platoto site. The participant can register themselves in front of Happy End Bar next to the first station of the cabin lift till 10 o’clock AM. From 10 till 11 o’clock the competitors will have the opportunity to test the slope and to train their stunts. The qualifications last form 11.30 till 15 O’clock PM.

From 15 till 17 o’clock the best snowboard amateurs, who would pass the qualifications, will measure each other strength in the finals. The winners will be awarded in Happy End Bar at 17.30.

The most important for Burton Amateur Tour this winter is that the best boy and girl of each event can secure themselves a starting slot for the slopestyle contest at the Burton European Open in Laax, Switzerland.

The participation in the event is for free and the competitors receive 50 % discount of the lift pass. The event will be accompanied with a lot of music and jam sessions.
