Bansko will start summer season with festivals

Bansko Mountain resort popular among lovers of winter sports is ready to offer various attractions during the summer season, as well.

The summer season in Bansko will be officially opened with holidays of Bansko’s traditions and folklore festival for authentic songs and dances.


The festive program will continue from 17 May - 24 May 2011.

During the holidays guests and residents of the resort will be able to visit ethnographic and culinary fairs, exhibitions of fine and applied arts, theme nights devoted to local humor, songs and customs.

An exhibition “Made in Bansko” will present traditional and current trends in production of furniture and woodcarving in the region.

On 18 May 2011 Bansko will celebrate the International Night of Museums.

The annual folklore festival "Between the Three Mountains" will be held from 22 May – 23 May 2011. Balkan ensembles will present traditional songs and dances from Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece.

The development of the cultural tourism in Bansko is one of the objectives of the municipality.
