Bulgarian Towns of Haskovo and Kardjali to be Presented on Tourism Fair in Switzerland

From 01 to 05 November the municipalities of Haskovo and Kardjali will participate in International Tourism Fair in Lugano, Switzerland. The Bulgarian stand will be under the motto “Bulgaria – the Sacred Land of Orpheus”.
The international tourism fair in Lugano is one of the most prestigious in Europe. This year the 1600 exhibitors will be presented on an area of 12 000 square metres.
Besides Haskovo and Kardjali, Plovdiv and Koprivshtitsa will also take part in the exhibition. The invitation for participation in Lugano was received during the Plovdiv International Fair during May this year, when the stand of Haskovo also won the best vision reward.
This project aims turning Eastern Rodopi into an attractive tourist destination. Perperikon sacred place, Tatul, the tomb in Alexandrovo and St. Holy Mother monument are just part of the cultural and historical heritage of these regions.
