The Rose Festivals start from Starosel by the end of May

The traditional holidays of Hissar and the mineral water from 2 – 8 the June will be officially opened with the unique exhibition “History of mineral water drinking in Hissar”.

This year the Rose Festival in Starosel will start on 30th May from 7.00 PM on the main square in front of the community centre in Hissar. The program includes Thracian ritual in honour of the great goddess – Mother, presented entirely in the spirit of the Orpheus mysteries, announced representatives of Hissar municipality. The competition “Queen of Rose” is a special event during the festival.

Folklore ensemble “Nastroenie” and the Hissar National Orchestra will take care for the good mood of the guests. The rose production in Hissar has a long history. Over 200 decares of roses exist on the territory of the municipal, mainly in the region of the villages Starosel, Krasnovo and Krastevich. The Thracian temple, situated nearby the rose fields transforms the region into an attractive tourism destination for numerous tourists from Bulgaria and all over the world.

“The traditional holidays of Hissar and the mineral water” will take place from 2 – 8 June will be opened with a unique exhibition “Exhibition of the mineral water drinking in Hissar”. The tourism information centre will show pottery for water from the different epochs. The archaeology museum will exhibit masterpieces of the prehistoric epoch, authentic roman and medieval pottery.
