The first section of Black Sea Rama, one of the three golf resorts under development in the area between coastal towns Kavarna and Balchik, will be officially unveiled at the end of this week, said Kancho Stoichev, project manager and co-owner.
The resort will inaugurate the first nine of its 18 golf course holes and the golf academy. The remaining holes will be playable by August or September.
The 100 ha Black Sea Rama complex is sandwiched by another two golf resorts but is well ahead of them in terms of degree of completion.
The first phase of the residential segment of the complex, comprising some 30 houses, has been delivered with work in progress on the second segment.
Work is yet to get underway on the 35-suite boutique hotel that will cater to golfing aficionados. The owners of the resort are in talks with a major operator of premium hotel properties and should wrap up a deal within a couple of months, said Stoichev.
Black Sea Rama is 37%-owned by local businessman Krasimir Gergov. The other shareholders are Stoichev, Andrei Raichev and Svetoslav Bozhilov through Venture Equity Bulgaria.
The development is adjacent to Thracian Cliffs Golf and Spa Resort to the north and the Lighthouse golf resort to the south.
