Body Art and Martial Arts Get Kazanlak back to the Ancient Time

The Valley of the Thracian Kings literally will get alive for a period of two days. Scientists, tourists, photographers, artists and dancers are about to besiege the Town of Roses on Friday and Saturday. At that time there will take place the Days of the Thracian Culture.

Specialists of thracology, history and anthropology will discuss the new problems, challenges and discoveries concerning the ancient Thracians.
The prize named after the founder of the Bulgarian thracology, prof. Alexander Fol, will be handed for third time.
Photo exposition will remind the achievement of the discoverer of Sevtopolis.
Multimedia exposition will get the visitors familiar with the restoration and the conservation of the new Thracian finds, and the photographer Georgi Georgiev will present his photo “Flight over the Valley of the Thracian Kings”.
Among the attractions of the forum this year will be the documentary of “Orphica Academy” – “A Thracian Mysterious Drama” – a spectacular restoration of ancient Orphic Thracian feasts, put on the films live during the previous Thracian Festivals.
On Saturday in Kazanlak will take place the third body art happening.
At the closure of the Days will be present a demonstration of Thracian martial arts and a dance performance of Arabesk Ballet at “Sevtopolis” Square.
