Rafting season in Bulgaria starts this weekend

Rafting season 2008 will be officially opened on the 5th and 6th of April with attractive demonstrations in the swift current of Struma River in the region of Kresna gorge. The event is organized by four extreme sports clubs “Adventure Net”, “House for Books and Adventures”, “Fast Waters” and “X-Club”.

The beginning of the new rafting season will be on Saturday the 5th of April at 10 a.m. The meeting poit for the teams, journalists and guests is at the first tunnel at the begining of Kresna gorge on the main road E 79. Teams from the four clubs will make a demonstration with rafts in the river.

Media representatives and the guests of the event also will have the chance to feel the thrilling experience in the waters of Struma.

During the evening rafting friends will celebrate the opening of the season with fireworks and party.
