Rafting in Struma 2009

The spring has come and the waters of the rivers are high, filled by the melting snow in the mountains. This is the perfect time of the year for rafting and kayaking in Bulgaria.
The official opening of the rafting season will take place on the 4th and the 5th of April. The meeting point for the organizers, journalists and visitors, is Kresnesko Hanche site at 10 AM. Once again, the gorgeous Kresna Gorge and Struma River will be full of colourful boats and happy people, searching for trilling experiences. First, the members of the sports clubs will make demonstrations with rafts and kayaks in the river and then the descents for the guests will start.
The fun will go on during the evening. Traditionally the raft clubs and their guest are putting up the tents on a small glade below the river, celebrating the new season with music and fireworks. The party is guarantied. Welcome!
