Large balconies have no outdoor furniture hence you cannot use them, or have to take the indoor chairs to dry your swimgear. All balconies are connected and can be jumped over to gain acces to a different room. So safety-wise one cannot sleep with the balcony door open. The AC in the room is not powerful at all and cannot cool the room. Areas around the pools did not have proper flooring, just tiles that were very slippery and dangerous. Breakfast selection was good,however buffet style food had many flies just landing on it. Made a remark about that to the staff, who did nothing to improve the situation. Restaurant menu has a great variety and everything we tried was well prepared and tasty. The lifeguard had a double duty as a receptionist at the spa. As such he had no knowledge on offered procedures and was not present at the pools at all times. Had a situation where I had to jump in the pool ang get somebody elses unattended kids out.The lifeguard was not there. None of the advertised on the hotel website extra tours were available for booking. We wanted horseriding, trips to Rila monastery, trips to the Rila lakes etc, the hotel failed to provide any of these, even though we were happy to pay a price for a private tour as no other hotel guests booked. They provided bysicles for rent, but no helmets??? They even had kids bikes, but no helmets... From the adverstised free spa procedures in the summer package(out of 4 types only 2 were available)The equipment for one was broken and the ION Foot spa therapist only worked in the mornings. Strimon Spa hotel is deffinately not a 5 *.
Large balconies have no outdoor furniture hence you cannot use them, or have to take the indoor chairs to dry your swimgear.
All balconies are connected and can be jumped over to gain acces to a different room. So safety-wise one cannot sleep with the balcony door open.
The AC in the room is not powerful at all and cannot cool the room.
Areas around the pools did not have proper flooring, just tiles that were very slippery and dangerous.

It would be helpful if you could provide maps of the towns. In Kyustendil, for example, there was no tourist information office, and the maps of the town that were displayed in the streets were defaced with graffiti. The hotel didn't have a map even to show us, even in Bulgaria. On our last day we found a map in Bulgarian in a book shop. The room was small, the bathroom large and well-appointed. The room in Vratsa where we stayed (personal booking) was larger but the bathroom flooded when showering...
