World Tourist Destinations Ranking: Bulgaria Takes 54 Place

Bulgaria takes 54th place in attractiveness in the World tourist destinations Ranking, made in 2007.
This points a report of the World economic forum, which defined the ranking of 124 countries in the field of tourism.

Bulgaria ranking is 4,31 from a maximum of 5,66 for Switzerland. Bulgarian rank is the same is that of Turkey and Latvia. In the same group are countries like Dominican republic and Mexico.

The assessment is made on the basis of 13 criteria, the most important of which being: the importance which the government puts on tourism, the level of development and the quality of the transport infrastructure, the availability of contemporary hotels and staff qualifications, sanitary conditions in the country, prices of holiday packages, safety and political stability, national cultural heritage, environment.

The top 4 in the ranking is headed by 4 European countries: Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Iceland.

Popular tourist destinations such as Morocco, Egypt, Brazil, Peru and Kenya are behind Bulgaria in the prestigious ranking.
