Bulgaria's Razgrad to Develop Tourism Zone

SofiaEcho, 22 June 2007

The town of Razgrad plans to develop its own tourism zone, the construction of which will cost nearly 300 000 euro.

The zone will include 14 tourism routes with total length of 46km, eight walking routes, two bicycle paths and two horse riding routes, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.

Deputy Regional Development Minister Dimcho Mihalevski will launch work on the zone on June 22.

The new tourism zone is part of a project for tourism development in the region of Loudogorie and part of an integration investment grant scheme for regional development of the northeastern region of Bulgaria.

Thirty-one contracts worth 6.726 million euro have been already signed under the regional development grant scheme.
