Over BGN 175 Mln Invested into SPA Tourism in Bulgaria for 3 Years

About BGN 175 million have been invested in the development of SPA tourism in Bulgaria over the last three years. 70 four- and five-star hotels located mainly along the Black sea and in the vicinity of mineral water springs have been built. They offer a list of amenities including mineral water swimming pools, saunas, solariums, gyms, beauty parlors, etc. The figures were released at a conference devoted to the SPA and wellness tourism in Bulgaria that took place in Plovdiv. About 128,000 people visit SPA hotels in Bulgaria annually. About 85% of them are Bulgarians, the remaining 15% are foreigners.
