Vacation Village to be Built in City of Madjarovo

A holiday complex comprising six villas will be built in the city of Madjarovo, in the Rhodope mountains, Southern Bulgaria, said Gela Petrova, the investor in the project. The small resort, with just 50 beds, will also feature restaurant, conference room and parking facilities. Tourism is one of the main sources of income for the area residents after the demise of the local mining industry. The Madjarovo municipality boasts no less than 40 historical, archeological and natural heritage sites, including the Eastern Rhodope nature reserve where the extremely rare griffon vulture nests.
