Bulgarians will see thick fog during their Christmas holiday and are to enjoy a snow blanket to cover the ground in the first days of the New Year, according to the forecasts.
Mountain holiday-makers will be able to walk and ski in sunny weather with temperatures set at between 2C and 7C.
A cold spell is to be felt across the country on December 26 and 27 due to strong winds.
It is expected to start snowing on December 28 and the thickness of the white blanket on the mountain slopes will reach two meters.
Bulgaria is to welcome the New Year with really cold weather. Then the mercury will drop to -10C.
The north-eastern part of the country is likely to see blizzards. Authorities warn the drivers not to travel under such meteorological conditions.
