Focus News

Hotelkeepers see growth in the number of Bulgarian tourists during the holidays, chairman of the Bulgarian Hotels and Restaurants Association Blagoy Ragin said to the FOCUS News Agency.
20 – 15% y/y increase in the number of Bulgarian tourists is expected for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Ragin also remarked that the growth is due to the campaign for popularizing tourism in Bulgaria.
There is great boom of Romanian tourists in North Bulgaria and more precisely in the town of Veliko Tarnovo.
“Bulgarians are fond of exotic places, which is due to the fact that they have been “locked” for a long time and now they want to make up for the lost time”, Ragin said, commenting on the fact that Bulgarians prefer to spend their holidays abroad.
