Bulgarian Wine is No1 on the Russian Market

Bulgarian wine is number 1 on Russia's wine market, informed in a press conference the chairman of National wine chamber Plamen Mollov.
Among the rest of the top destinations of local wine are: Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, UK, Scandinavian countries.
The solid positions of foreign markets lead to the good marketing policy and old traditions, Mollov commented.

Last year Bulgaria exported to Russia 585,000 hectoliters, 182,000 hectoliters to Poland and 20,000 to UK.
The situation is similar with the broached wine. 138,000 hectoliters broached wine was exported to Russia and 27,000 to Germany.
The foreseen wine production in 2007 is 150 million liters.
