Bulgaria Attends FITUR`08 in Madrid

Bulgaria will participate in FITUR`08 (International Tourism Trade Fair) in Madrid under the motto ‘Bulgaria - a country with rich cultural - history heritage'.
On the Bulgarian standstill will be presented part of Panagyurishte Gold Treasure, reported from Bulgaria's State Agency of Tourism (SAT).

The event will occur January 30 until February 3, this year.
The expo is one of the biggest world tourism expositions. It is organized by IFEMA Feria de Madrid and takes place in ‘Juan Carlos I' expo centre.

Bulgaria will accentuate on cultural and wine tourism.

SAT invited on the still representatives of national and regional branch organizations, tour operators and agencies, working on the Spanish market.

Twelve tourist companies applied for participation.

In the period January-August 2007, Bulgaria was visited by 23,202 Spanish tourists, which is a growth of 36% compared to the same period in 2006.
