Bulgaria will be part of the new tourist map of Europe

“Bulgaria has won a financial support for the European Union project “Perfect tourist destination”, said Anelia Krushkova, the president of the State Agency of Tourism. The project aims to create new tourist map of Europe which embraces the unknown regions on the continent. 17 countries, including Bulgaria, will take part in the contest presenting their offers for the “Perfect tourist destination” which would be chosen in October, 2008.
Bulgaria emphasizes on the cultural and spiritual riches of the country. Bulgarian destination is related to the Thracian heritage. The material treasures of the Thracians are well known all over the world but the spirit and the customs of people, who did inhabit Bulgarian lands during the antiquity, are not so famous. According to the organizers the mystics around Thracians and their yaw of living will provoke international interest and that will help to popularize Bulgaria as a “Perfect tourist destination”.
