National Meeting to Aid Bulgaria Rural Areas

A national meeting of Bulgarian cultural community clubs (known as chitalishta) from rural areas is to take place Tuesday at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. It is sponsored by the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture and Food Supply.
The main objective of the meeting is to coordinate and enhance the participation of the cultural community clubs in the application of the National Program for Development of Rural Areas for 2007-2013.
Tuesday's meeting is to put an emphasis on the initiating of projects and the utilization of funds with respect to measures directed specially to the rural areas. It will be attended by representatives of several key state institutions, including the Ministry of Culture, the National Union of Cultural Community Cubs, and the State Agricultural Fund, and will end with a press conference.
