Bulgaria Presented at World's Biggest Tourism Expo ITB Berlin

Bulgaria attends for 40th serial time the international tourism market ITB Berlin, which starts on March 5 to 9 in the German capital Berlin.
ITB Berlin is the biggest tourism expo in world range as this year will be its 42nd edition. Country - partner of the expo this year will be Dominican Republic.

This year the market expects round 11,000 expositors from 180 countries and regions and more than 160,000 visitors.

Bulgaria will be presented on the ITB Berlin ‘2008 Expo with national stand of 429 square meters by the state agency of tourism and many tourism companies and organizations.

During the ITB Berlin' 2008 Bulgarian delegation will conduct a special press conference along with the biggest German tour - operators - partners of Bulgaria- TUI Germany, Thomas Cook, Rewe Touristik and others.

The concomitant animation program includes demonstration of typical Bulgarian crafts and folklore program with traditional music and dances of Bulgaria, presentation of traditional holidays - kukeri, Cvetnica, Surva, Gerogiovden.

The visitors of Bulgarian stand will be trained how to make their own Martenitsa.

Special focus and accent of Bulgarian attendance this year will be cultural tourism as the motto is ‘Bulgaria - land of ancient civilizations'.
