Tsvetnitsa Holiday!

Yesterday the Orthodox church celebrated the Tsvetnitca holiday (Flower Day), also called Vrubnica (Willow Day).
The Orthodox church reminds about the solemn entering of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem in the days before Jewish Pasha.

The believers welcome Jesus spreading on his way olive sprigs and declare for the King Messiah.

Bulgaria celebrates Tsvetnitsa as big church holiday.

During the morning liturgy the priests sanctify willow sprigs, people take it to their homes.

It is believed, this willow has defencing and producing power.

Today everybody named after flower or three celebrates name day.
