A total of fourteen new shopping malls will open doors in Bulgaria in 2009 according to the Bulgarian newspaper 24 Chasa Daily, which cites data from several real estate agencies.
Bulgaria's capital Sofia will have four new shopping centers in 2009 - Carrefour, Serdica Center, Mega Mall, and DV South Mall.
Three malls will be opened in the southern city of Plovdiv, and two in the Danube city of Rousse.
The cities of Varna, Stara Zagora, Pleven, Gabrovo and Kazanluk will each have one mall opening in 2009.
At least five more shopping malls around the country are expected to be completed in 2010.
There are currently six shopping malls functioning in Bulgaria.
