The perfect tourists destination contest starts in Bulgaria

The State Agency for Tourism's director, Anelia Krushkova, will start the next edition of the national contest for the perfect tourists' destination under the project EDEN.
The topic of this year's contest is "Tourism and protected territories" and the title - "952: Nature welcomes you!", BTV reports.

The project is held with the financial support of the European Commission and the state budget.

Its main goal is to make popular several new tourists destinations in protected territories and landmarks, included in the NATURA 2000 network.

The contest also aims at achieving economical growth by providing variety and high quality of the tourist services, without causing harm to nature and protected territories.

The choice and popularizing of the Perfect Tourists' Destination will help for the steady development of tourism in Bulgaria and popularizing of values such as respect to the environment, diversity of untraditional tourists' destinations, good practices and new opportunities for attracting tourists to unknown regions.
