Smolyan and Avdira town in Greece to develop eco tourism

The Bulgarian town of Smolyan and Greek’s Avdira will develop a common project for biodiversity and tourism, Radio Focus-Smolyan reported.

The Program of the European Territorial Cooperation Bulgaria – Greece will finance the project, which costs 1 159 043 euro.

According to the project, the two protected areas near Smolyan and Vistonida lake near Avdira municipality will recover its tourism potential. The areas and Vistonida lake are place for many rare animals and plants.

During the project, the two towns will insure visitors’ infrastructure which will facilitate visits.
