Russian Tourists Rediscover Bulgarian Resorts

The number of Russian tourists to Bulgaria in the last quarter of 2010 soared by 135.7% from a year ago, the national statistical institute said.
On the whole, the number of foreign tourists and business travelers coming to Bulgaria has increased by 21.7%, and that of the guests from USA and Canada has increased twofold.

At the same time, however, the night-stays of Bulgarian citizens in our hotels have shrunk by 0.2%. Still, the revenues from night-stays for the last quarter of 2010 amount to 76.3 million levs, which is an increase by 4.2% from a year ago.
