The Cabinet Grants 10M to Bulgaria's Wonders

10M leva grant for the promotion of Bulgaria's ten most important wonders will be awarded at a special ceremony in the National Museum of History tomorrow. Few minutes before the awarding PM Boyko Borissov will sign the checks with the exact amount for the restoration and preservation of each of the cultural and historical sites. The awarding ceremony is the conclusion event of the Bulgaria's Wonders campaign organized by The Standart. In a hard-fought two-stage national contest Bulgarians voted on-line for the top ten historical and archaeological memorials in Bulgaria. About 1 million people participated in the voting and because of the contest were established incredible town coalitions.
The old town of Sozopol with its latest archaeological find - the relics of St. John the Baptist was the favourite. It was followed by Thracian rock city of Perperikon and Old Town Nessebar.
Bulgaria's Finance Minister Simeon Djankov allotted 10M leva under the condition to be used on specific projects that could be completed till the end of this year.
