The number of tourists in Bulgaria will increase

The number of tourists that will visit Bulgaria in summer 2012 will increase 8%, announced Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Delyan Dobrev. Dobrev and Deputy Minister of Tourism Ivo Marinov visited the International tourism fair Cultural Tourism in Veliko Turnovo from 19 – 21 April 2012. More than 15 countries presented their opportunities for tourism.
Russian tourists in Bulgaria this year will increase 20 % due to the fact that Russians with Schengen visas can enter Bulgaria free, Dobrev said. The tourism industry in Bulgaria is 15 % of the GDP and it continues to develop in spite of the crisis.
