The main goal of the project is to use the natural, historical and ecology resources of the two neighboring regions, situated on the both banks of the Danube River. Official partners of the projects are foundation “Perpetum mobile”, the regional council of Pleven, the head of the regional council of Olt and the centre for information service in Pleven. Seven municipals from the both banks of the Danube River are included in the project – Dolna Mitropoliya, Iskar, Gulyantsi and Nikopol from Bulgaria and Korabiya, Balsh and Vishna from Romania.
The main goal of the project is to give a chance of nongovernmental organization to cooperate between the institutions of the two regions and to help the preparation of new tourism packages. The project also plans the issuing of a tourism catalogue on both Bulgarian and Romanian languages with new tourism offers for culture and entertainment in the two countries. They will be prepared by experts after the researches on ecology, history, nature, cultural and historic sights on both territories are completed. The project will be completed with the formation of a new strategy for development of alternative tourism, which will include plans for the improvement of the already existing infrastructure in the two regions, added Varbanov.
