A total of 722 firms from 39 countries had applied for participation at the most prestigious agriculture forum of South-Eastern Europe.
The forum will take place in the fair complex of Plovdiv city starting from February 19 until 23rd.
The booked area for Agra 2008 is with almost 40% more compared to last year. The event will be opened by Bulgaria's Agriculture Minister Nihat Kabil.
The foreign exhibitors are 378, as the most companies are Italian (81), followed by Germany (60), Netherlands (34), Turkey (23), Greece (21), France (19), Spain (19), Denmark (14) and USA (12).
The big interest from abroad is related with the investors expectations for progress in local agriculture.
The sector will be hit this year and will bring big profits, prognosticate from 'Unicredit Group'.
The branch will get additional push from the starting payments for supporting the agriculture business by different European programmes.
There will be offered consultations for programmes and projects, elaborating of individual decisions for equipment of farms according to the EU standards.
