Night of Museums and Galleries

The 26th September night in Plovdiv will be different - the "Night of Museums and Galleries".

May be because it won’t be dark, not at all. First of all, it will start unbelievably early for this time of year – punctually at 7:00 pm. Moreover the spiritual light of knowledge and art will shine all over the city.

Actually not only metaphoric light will spread its rays. The “Roots” light maze will be presented at the Ancient Theater. Its authors are Loran Soubize, Sophie Tabacov and Alaix Tabacov from France.

Apart from that over 30 museums and galleries will present their exhibitions, created especially for the Night. The public will be able to choose from painting, ceramic, photography, sculpture, prints, pictures, caricatures and multimedia installations. The authors joining in the event are foreign and Bulgarian.

The exhibitions will be attended by performances, film-show, wine tasting and fashion shows. Neither science, nor art will be recognized as a traditional cultural heritage. And this is the idea of the organizers. Everyone will be able to discover something new and interesting, enjoying this absolutely different site of Plovdiv.

Yes, the things are different at nighttime!
