New Lift in Samokov Opened

These days the newly built winter complex “Boricho” opened doors in Samokov. Its official opening will be held on January, 12 at 11 AM at the first station of the lift.
A week earlier now, the lift has already been working and the ski slopes are well maintained and ready to meet the first skiers and fans of winter sports in Bulgaria.
The new ski complex is situated in the most beautiful part of the town and reveals unique panoramic views towards Samokov and Rila Mountain.

Investor of the project is “Boriko 2007” Company, Samokov municipality and ElEmImpex holding shares in it.
The construction of “Boricho” ski complex started during summer 2006 so that the lift was ready for winter season 2006/2007. The complex couldn’t function then, because of the lack of good snow conditions. This year the winter weather is perfect, the ski conditions are good and the ski track is ready to be used now.

At the official opening next Saturday, a competition for a snow cup “Boricho” will also be organized.
