Green Suns Fest for Midsummer Day on the Shoumen Plateau

On 23 and 24 June in Natural Park “Shoumen Plateau” a traditional folklore festival under the name “Green Suns” will be held.
The fest will mark the Enyovden Holiday (Midsummer Day) in Bulgaria, which is also celebrated as the Herbs Picking Day. It is believed that all herbs, picked up through the Midsummer Day will have magic power and will cure all diseases and give power and strength to the people. At the fest everybody, who loves nature will have the chance to walk around and also experience the Bulgarian traditions.

Holiday PROGRAM:
23 June (Saturday)
8.00pm – Folklore Concert and fire dancing;
24 June (Sunday)
5.30 am – Meeting of the sun-rise and Enyovsko Horo Dance for health;
8.30 am – Dances and singing – part two;
