Round 2,5 million BGN (1,23 million EUR) will be granted in 2008 for restoration and conservation of objects in the archaeological reserves of Pliska, Veliki Preslav (Great Preslav) and Madara (Madarski konnik or the Madara rider).
All these important Bulgarian spots are situated in the district of Shumen (South Eastern Bulgaria).
The allocation was announced after a meeting of Shumen's district governor Nikolay Nikolov and Bulgaria's deputy minister of Culture Ivan Tokadjiev.
We will continue with constructing of archaeological basis in Pliska along with reconstruction of the Big Basilica.
Until May this year the saving nets in Madara reserve will be removed.
