A photographic exhibition entitled Earth From The Air, which includes 117 pictures, will arrive in Sofia on September 17.
More than 100 million people from 70 countries have already seen the exhibition, organisers of the event said, as quoted by Bulgarian news agency BTA.
The photographs are by French photographer and ecologist Yann Arthus-Bertrand and will be on display on the pedestrian bridge behind the National Palace of Culture for two months till Nov.18 2007. Entry to the exhibit - free.
An open-air photo exhibition is believed to be unprecedented in Bulgaria.
Earth from the Air began 17 years ago when Yann Arthus-Bertrand decided to take pictures of the Earth from the air. UNESCO welcomed his idea and gave him its support.
Yann started to take pictures from more than five continents and 150 countries from a helicopter at heights of between 300 and 3000m.
The collection gives viewers a bird's-eye view of the extraordinary patterns and colours in landscapes all around the world.
