Monasteries around Sofia connected with cultural route

The first part of the route starts from Buhovo, passes through Kremikovtzi, Podgumer and reaches Kurilo. It includes generally 9 monasteries and 14 churches.
Pedestrian route and bike paths will connect 120 churches and monasteries around Sofia, said Tzvetelina Borislavova from Credo Bonum foundation.
“The idea about this route came from Santiago de Compostela in Spain called “The culture route of Europe”. I аm looking for а different presentation – through ancient history and our unique geography and natural resources. For a long time I communicated with people who know that this is one of the worlds main priorities”, also said Borislavova.
