Three Golf Courses and an Airport Planned near Sozopol, Bulgaria

Three golf courses and an airport will be constructed near Sozopol Beach Resort in Bulgaria. This is foreseen by the new structure plan of the town.

The terrains for the golf courses will be located between the villages of Ravna Gora and Izvor. Each golf course will be constructed on a plot of approximately 1000 decares. The predominating part of the land is municipality owned, the mayor of Sozopol, Panayot Reizi stated. The municipality expects a big investor interest and therefore plans to cooperate in gaining private lands as well.
The golfers are planned to be serviced by a with small airplanes runway, 1,8 km long. For that purpose an old agricultural airport will be renewed, the architect of the municipality, Roumen Alexandrov stated. For the construction of this facility public-private funds will be used.

The municipality strategic plan also foresees the construction of Attraction Park on plot of 300 decares, nearby Gradina camping site.
There are future plans for constructing elite villa zone on the coast between the Sozopol and Chernomorets. The investor interest is also orientated towards the nearby St. Ivan Island and St. Kirik and Yulita Island.
