The first international cruise ship for 2009 lay aboard at Terminal 1 of Svishtov port. 110 tourists from the Western Europe visited Svishtov as part of the program of “Primadona” ship. The ship came from Tulcha and went on to Belgrade, Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna.

70 international ships with the total number of 7520 passengers berthed abroad at Svishtov port in 2008. 84 ships with more than 9000 passengers are expected in 2009. The number increased because of the Svishtov port policy, which attracted more clients among the international cruise and tourist operators this year.
