Strong Tourism Season for Tsarevo Resort

Bulgaria’s Tsarevo municipality has already generated revenue from tourist tax of 100 000 leva until August 1 2007.
Tsarevo municipality has the lowest tourist tax, 0.70 leva for adults and 0.40 leva for children, Focus news agency reported.
The town’s mayor Petko Arnaoudov said that the low tourist tax gives the hotels the opportunity to form the lowest accommodation prices and on the other hand stimulates them to report the actual number of stays.
According to Arnaoudov, the number of hotel stays reported by tour operators in Lozenets, Tsarevo, Ahtopol and Sinemorets was equal.
For the first time revenue from tourist taxes in Tsarevo reached the one of the village of Lozenets which is the most preferred destination in the municipality.
