Religious tourism was the accent of the Black Sea Tourism Forum in Varna. “Religious Tourism: Monasteries-the image of Bulgarian spirit” was the topic of the forum. The event took place from 16th till 18th of October.
Metropolitan Kirill, the deputy mayor of Varna municipality – Svilen Kraichev, the chairman of the Tourism chamber in Varna – Marin Neshkov and the vice-chairman of the State Tourism Agency – Stela Baltova, were the participants in the opening conference.
Marin Neshkov said that the Tourism Chamber in Varna has transformed the Tourism and Free Time Fair into a Black Sea Tourism Forum, dedicated to the alternative tourism. “Bulgaria will be represented as a country with a millennial traditions and spiritual culture” – said Neshkov.
According to the participants the forum will contribute to the economical development of the country. The religious tourism will become more popular and people will learn more about the history and culture of Bulgaria.
