Veliko Turnovo and Arbanasi Monastery - Hot Tourist Spots

A total of 73,000 tourists visited the Old Bulgarian capital, the city of Veliko Turnovo (Central Bulgaria) in the first six months of 2007.
The statistics say that almost 24,000 visitors went sigh seeing in Veliko Turnovo from January to March, 2007.

In the next 3 months (April - June) nearly 49,300 tourists visited the city.

Considering the tourism visits for the year till now, the expectations are that the interest to Veliko Turnovo, compared to 2006 will be bigger.

Arbanasi monastery was visited by 12,141 Bulgarian and foreign tourists since the beginning of the year.
