A Unique Find in Bulgaria

An Original float light of colour glass was found in the old capital of Bulgaria Veliko Tarnovo. Such a thing has ever been found before. It was found by the archeologist Konstantin Totev in the newly found church at the hill of Trapezitza.

The unique find was made most probably in Byzantium and was as big as a glass. It was kept in a small niche in the wall of the church. Next to it the archeologists also found a piece of a big iron cross. It is supposed that the crucifix was looted by treasure-hunters some 50 years ago. They however did not managed to reach the basic of the alter niche, where the glass float light was hidden.
