The archeologist Mirko Robov found an unknown so far monogram during the exploration of the South fortified wall of the Trapezitsa hill.
The inscription is completely preserved. It is glazed and decorated. There is written a capital T and also C, Y, Д, П and Н. It partly looks like the monogram of St. Teodosii of Tarnovo, partiarh of Bulgaria during the Second Bulgarian Empire. He used such monograms to sign his works, explained Mirko Robov. He claims that at the Trapezitsa hill an entire new group of glazed monograms is forming.
On the new find there are six letters as distinct from the previous that had only one symbol. The engraved letters can be associated with the cult to the emperor, the patriarch, different saints and patrons of the churches in the capital city.
