1 million tourists visited Veliko Tarnovo city in Bulgaria

Almost one million tourists have visited Veliko Tarnovo for this year.
Veliko Tarnovo is enjoying a great interest from tourists, despite of the crises, as the town became popular as a centre of the culture tourism in the country.
The tourists are attracted not just by the historical hill Tsarevets and the unique show “Sound and Light”, but also by the numerous museums, churches and monasteries.
During the past few years, the Veliko Tarnovo municipality has invested over 5 million BGN for restoration and maintenance of cultural sights in the region.
