The short list of companies for the contract “Survaillance on the construction works along the adjoining infrastructure on Bulgarian territory for bridge over the Danube River in Vidin – Calafat (Bulgaria - Romania)”. It was published in the official web site of EC.

The final date for auction documents submission is 28.06.2007. The received offers will be assessed, according to the regulations of ES. The contract is planned to be signed in September 2007. Independent engineer surveillance will be appointed for the construction of the adjacent railway infrastructure to the bridge over the Danube River in Vidin – Calafat.

The construction works include:

- The construction of 15 kilometres single electrical line, together with contact network, illumination, system for remote control, signal system and telecommunication;
- The construction of international cargo station;
- Reconstruction of the passenger station;
- Construction of 8 km long four line road;
The execution of the project is planned to be finalized in 37 months.
