Vitosha becomes easy accessible by public transport

Experts plan to provide easy accessible public transport to the highest parts of Vitosha, as an alternative of private vehicles. This was decided on a meeting between representatives of the Environmental Ministry and Stolichna Municipality.

The experts decided to seek opportunities to substitute Kniazhevo lift with fund from the Jessica program for financing of municipal projects, with return from services fees.

The Environmental ministry promised to supply assistance for the faster realization of the two projects funded by Operation program “Environment” for rehabilitation of the net of alleys, damaged by the erosion and projects for construction of equipment – cycling pistes, bathrooms and etc. The experts also plan to develop a structure plan for development of the tourism infrastructure in the region.
