New opportunities for tourism development are on the way for Vratsa Town, at the foot of Vratsa Balkan Mountain in Northern Bulgaria. The newest tourist product in Vratsa is the oldest preserved skeleton on earth, which was found by the archeologist Georgi Ganecovski near the village of Ohoden, Vratsa municipality. The skeleton is named "Todorka", after the name of the expedition worker, who first noticed it.
The archeologist proposes the creation of an exposition, in which the way of life and the culture of the people, who used to live 8000 years ago to be shown. He believes that near Ohoden an ancient trade centre was found, where flint traders used to live.
In order to popularize the ancient find, the mayor of tourism plans working on transborder projects in future.
