Belogradchik applies for a Geo park statute at UNESCO

Russian students from the Geography faculty of the Moscow university “Michail V. Lomonosov” will have a professional training in Belogradchik, announced BTA. The students will study the territory of the Belogradchik rocks for a period of 14 days.

Belogradchik and the Moscow university are cooperating for the sixth year in a row.
The young scientists will help the municipality to present the “”Belogradchik rocks” as an European Geo park.
Experts from UNESCO will also visit Belogradchik this summer. They will examine the tourism and environmental action s of the municipality.
