Rock fest Starts in Kardjali

The first annual Bulgarian Koko Rock Fest will take place on September 1, 2007 in the Rhodopi mountain town of Kurdzhali.

The festival will take place every two years with a goal of gathering young rock groups and helping them start their careers, avtora.com reported.

The event is named after the famous musician from Kurdzhali Koko. The festival aims to popularise all styles of rock music including blues, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, hard rock, heavy metal, ethno jazz and jazz rock.

All people willing to participate in the event can subscribe at the festival's official website www.koko-rock.com .

The three best rock groups will record in the Bulgarian Graffitti studio.

The event will end with a jam session. Bulgarian rock groups Fyeld, Anamnasia and Lavina have already confirmed their participation.
