An Anciant Rhodope's Civilization Talks

Unique rock sanctuaries and observatories, found in the region of Eastern Rhodope Mountain, certificate for the existence of unknown by now civilization with amazing metallurgic abilities and astronomy knowledge, informed from Bulgarian Academy of Science.
The archaeologists are categorical that the rock structures in the researched region are impressive monuments of one earlier and weakly examined civilization.

The monuments precede with several centuries the raise of the Egypt pyramids and Stonehenge for example.

Some of the rock sanctuaries in the Rhodopes were created and functioning actively in 7-6 centuries B.Ch.

The whole sanctuary system was there almost 2,000 years before the Thracian had settled on present Bulgarian territory.

According to the scientists, the prehistorically inhabitants were developing mines for extracting of cooper and gold. They also had been found and used the quicksilver.

The Eneolithic inhabitants of the Rhodopes were the first miners and metallurgists in the world. They also were elaborating the earlier gold objects.

This activity is related with a system of complexly religious and spirit practices, carried out in sanctuaries, which had been functioning also as astronomy observatories.

The founds in Eastern Rhodopes testify for the cultural and economy bloom on one unity with breath-taking knowledge, which based on continuing observation of luminaries had created moon and sun calendars.
